The identity had to reference the crocodile, the mascot of the
Bafokeng tribe, and align to the identity of Royal Bafokeng Finance.
The Bafokeng tribe were know as the ‘People of the Dew’ for settling on fertile land and amassing great wealth as a result.
This was translated to a logo made up of dew drops forming the crocodiles’ tail. It used 3 colours to cut costs and to give depth and purity to the drops which CMYK printing could not achieve. The logotype mimics crocodile skin.
